| And now my sinuses are no longer trying to squeeze my eyeballs out. Yay! Last Saturday I suffered my first sword injury that wasn't self-inflicted, and then a day later was down with some sort of sinus-y thing.
The test spears worked nicely. These were spears made from styrofoam, balsa wood and pvc pipe. The goal was to have spears that could be smashed apart by a forceful parry. The goal was totally met. :D
And I've made some mecha sketches for a friend who's trying to get a game published. Hope he likes them.

| So Arndis is potentially going to be stranded for her last week of classes, and Wednesday morning in particular she has to be at Algonquin by 8AM or it's 10% of her final mark. We're going to see if she can rent a Res room for the last week of classes, but if she can't get one, can anyone help her get to class?
Aside from the 8 AM Wednesday, she's got a 9 AM Thursday and another 8 AM Friday.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

| I've got a demonstration on January 10th and 24th for my martial arts club. So of-course, I've injured myself. On the up side, atleast there's plenty of time to recover -- it's probably a pulled or strained muscle/tendon. I'll have to hit a clinic monday and find out what the professional opinion is and what to do for it aside from the obvious babying of the leg.
Also, yesterday I modified a sprite from Pokemon:Fire Red/Leaf Green. It makes Bruno (Elite Four) into a Wyrdwolf

| Just double checking: I've considered myself agnostic for a very long time, but I recently heard something to the effect of: If you're baptised you technically can't stop being christian short of being excommunicated. That anything less than that is just being a lapsed christian.
Is that true? I was baptised as a child and if that statement is true, I need some way to auto-excommunicate myself that isn't particularly heinous, cause while I can consider myself safe on a technicality (specifically that Christianity is a monolatrous religion [see 1 kings 11:7 and leviticus 18:12] at it's core, and not actually a monotheism -- except for all the currently active Christian Cults, eg: Catholicism, Pentecosts, etc...) I'd really rather have the option to worship another god before Yahweh if I decide to settle on some other faith.
Though I suppose I could swing that one on a technicality too: Specifically, I'm not an Isrealite, and as such I can consider myself not-covered by the pact that they agreed to through Moses about putting no 'false idols' before him.

In other news I think I did something to my knee last week, the tendon(s) on my left knee toward the back/outside feel sore/strained. Came about because of a bad landing after a jump. Thankfully not severe though I've put a moratorium on further running and jumping for now.

| Blargh! Trying to make a schedule while the boss is away, and present a fait-accomplit. He's been shaving hours from everyone's schedule for a few months to pay for more dispensary staff, and as a result of that, over 80% of floor staff is muttering about looking for more work elsewhere.

| Doing my saturday kung-fu around Dow's Lake for the summer. Since we have no overhead this way, we can feel free to instruct anyone who wanders by the big circular flowerbed around 11:00 to 12:30 or so. On the other hand, can't use steel in public place practice. Oh well, that's one of the reasons I collected broom handles and PVC pipe for awhile.
